boilermate 210 malfunction
I have a boilermate 210 hp-dem that was drained down when bought it of ebay and has it has been empty some time. I got the design installation service instruction from the net. I did all that was stated regarding do's and dont's and every thing worked fine until i switched on mcb 1. there was a pot.
question why is there warning about mcb 1/2 not being switched on until full tested and comminisoned?
the following are my current situation
1, no lights or info on the display or appliance control board. no other functions work,
2, power to clock ok
3, 100mA fuse ok
any ideas and what fault finding can i do to find out which componets has gone? As my email to gledhill did not give me the answers i wanted.
I am (scientist) so not a plumber or electrication by trade , but have done a great deal of complex diy and can work out most problems over time.
thanks

Re: boilermate 210 malfunction
Have you a Boilermate 2000
Or a Boiler mate A class?
The reason you must not put the fuses / breakers "on"
Because of dry firing,
Unit not full.
Also if bought second hand there could be all sorts of problems.
More so if drained / empty for a long time.
Power to the main ACB or PCB ?

hi mike
I did have it all running fine until i throw the switch.
How do i test if it is the acb or pcb?
using a test meter i have low voltage o.4 volts at j31, I think this should b 12v
I am testing further points today so i will give more info later.
thanks
