Pulsacoil A Class Replacement
Good evening all
Shame I have to introduce myself only when in need but that is usually the case.
My name is Rob and I live in Feltham.
My Pulsa Coil class A started leaking from inside.
Chances are I will have to replace it as my home insurance will not cover the repair/replacement.
Is there anything better than Gledhill that can be used as direct replacement?
Ideally something reliable.
Alternatively are here any people who have some expert skills and know how to save this heater providing that internal leak is the only issue.
Everything else works as normal.
I believe everything can be fixed it`s just the matter of finding right people.
Not sure how much a new one of these is now days as I cannot find any info about it.
I need it to last a few more months as I am selling the place and moving abroad.
Wasn't really prepared to fork out a few grand just after Christmas...
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Re: Pulsacoil A Class Replacement
Hello Rob.
I tempted to say that you sell your home with the leaky A Class, and maybe knock a little off the price for the new owner to replace it, but that's up to you. It all depends on how bad the leak is. Is it upstairs, and so if it gets worse, the water will come through? You may well be in a flat, and that could cause insurance issues for the tenant below you (seen it so many times!).
I'm happy to give you a price if you send me some photos of the current installation. I only fit Advance cylinders - and insist on it being protected against limescale by a LimeStop TS (because the coil gets seriously scaled without one).
