Peak boost keeps trippng out the water heater
Hello again...
My tenants have just moved in and I have spoken with them to make sure they are ok but they have reported a problem with my water heater.
The off peak works fine and they are happy with it, but when they use the boost function after 20-25 mins it produces a fault and the red light comes on. Luckily they have found the reset button and seem to be fairly happy with this, I on the other hand would like this sorted as it isnt fair on them.
Can anyone think of an obvious problem that means the peak water supply keeps overheating and tripping the safety switch?

Hi;
By what you have written, the fault may be the rod stat ( in the heater)
Or the heater its self.
I assume the cable to the heater and the switch has be checked?
As any loose wires etc could cause this to.
It would be wise more so if renting the property to get the matter sorted.
You can call Gledhill Direct whom may have someone in your area
Or go on to

Where you will find a list of UK engineers.

Seems like a rod stat issue but also check water level
This seems like a rod stat issue. I would recommend you first check the water level in your header tank. If you are not sure how to do this, request a free self check Pulsacoil mini guide via this link: Gledhill Pulsacoil 2000 Repairs
If the water level is fine, then it may be worth changing your rod stat or overheat stat. You can buy them on line via this link: Gledhill Pulsacoil 2000 Spares
