Pulsacoil running out of hot water and leaking.
The hot water suply has never been great, but over the last few weeks it has got a lot worse, I showered on Saturday at about 4.30pm and then there was no hot water till about 11pm. My partner had to boil water and have a bath instead, he checked the box on to top and topped up the water in there just to fill level, then thought nothing more of it. He also put the on peak on over night, (which we have done before by mistake). Then on the sunday the guy who lives below came up and asked if we had a leak, as he had water come from his ceiling. We looked in the airing cupboard and water was coming out of a hole in the side of the top box! this has never happened before! since then we have been keeping an eye on the top box, but still not getting loads of hot water, partner showered at 7.30am, not much hot water for me to shower at 10am! found this forum and then checked boiler again, and have noticed it is leaking from bottom. Not getting any help from housing association, as we are part rent part buy, so need outside help if poss.

Hi
Hi;
If you fill the top tank up too high it can overflow when it gets hot.
As expansion takes place.
As for leaking at bottom.
Is this the heater or the unit.
What area are you?
Mike

Pulsacoil replacement
If the header tank is physically leaking, you can replace this. If the main cylinder is leaking then you will have to replace the entire system.
Below are links for more information on the header tank and a replacement system.
