Tepid water only
Hi there,
I have a Pulsacoil A class and since Wednesday it has only been providing tepid water.
I have checked the tank and the water level is not an issue. The red light is not on or flashing and the unit is not making any strange noises.
I have tried the on-peak boost button twice which has caused the "RCD controlled circuits" to fuse until I push the lever back up (I'm not very technical!).
Any help would be appreciated. I am in Angel Islington in North London - can you recommend anybody in the area to fix? If there's nothing I can do myself.

We cover your area, sounds like it could be the relays have burnt out.

What would the approximate cost of the call out and when could you make it out?
Obviously, the sooner the better from my perspective... Tepid showers are no fun!

Hi Josh,
Call our office tomorrow, after 8.30am but before 10.30am 0870 80 31 999 and ask for either myself (Gary) or Suzanne. We should be able to sort somthing out for you for tomorrow or Tuesday.

Hi Gary,
Apologies, I didn't realise I had free emergency home cover with my bank account so thought it was worthwhile to get an engineer if out if it wasn't going to cost me anything.
The engineer says it's an issue with the heating element and timer which will cost me £300 to fix. Do you think it's worth you being able to come out and take a look at it (does £300 sound competitive).
Apologies for wasting your time thus far and thanks for all of your help.

Hi Josh,
Did the engineer test the unit with a test meter? It's very strange for a time clock and immersion to fail at the same time but not unheard of. For us to change an immersion and time clock you would be looking approximately £220. But I would question the diagnoses made by the other engineer and would need to check the unit myself. These are all parts we keep in stock and would be able to change them in one visit.
