Very limited hot water - manual fill tank Empty Very limited hot water - manual fill tank

Hi,

So consistent hot water stopped a few days ago (only about 5 mins at most) so I called a local boiler engineer who manually filled the small grey plastic tank up a few times using the tap.

This MAY have done the trick but I am just wondering if the issue could be deeper?

Do I need to refill this manual fill tank every so often?

I have left the hot water running since for 15 mins with no issues but just wondering if the issue is over or if I do need to replace? (I moved in about 6 months ago so have no previous history apart from knowing that the boiler is 8 years old as thats when the flat was built).

Thanks,
Shanker

Need to check for leaks
The unit leaking internally
The heaters leaking at the rod stat pockets.
Or it might just have been low on water.
Make sure lid to tank is on.

Many thanks - checked for leaks, nothing obvious, filling the tank up seems to have done the trick. Shall keep an eye on it.
