power consumption
Does anyone know what power consumption a Pulsacoil 2000 should consume? My unit seems to be gobbling up the Economy 7 supply.

Re: power consumption
Well on the off peak supply / heater.
It is 3 KW.
So you will use 3 units every hour it is heating.
7 x 3 = 21 @ what ever price you pay. E.G. £4:20p @ 20p per unit.
But the unit will not heat up for 7 hour normally.
Perhaps you have a faulty rod stat?

3KW is what the bottom element is rated at
3KW is what the bottom element is rated at. So follow Mike formula and you will know. But also be aware that most Economy 7 supplies feed storage heaters as well on separate circuits.
