Old Boilermate FE200 - boiler pump constantly on

Hello,

This is an original Boilermate FE200. We have just realised that the boiler pump is on permanently; it's probably been like this for weeks or a couple of months. From other posts, I gather that this is a well known problem.

The boiler stat is at max and the water into the BM is nice and hot, so it's unlikely to be the boiler. That leaves the BM thermostat or the pump controller PCB. Any ideas what I should try next?

Well turn the BM stat down and wait to see if pump goes off.
Could be the delay timer PCB.
Or depending on your boiler it may have pump over run fitted.
If it has could be that.
