using switch only for system
what would advantages/disadvantages be resulting from 2 hours per day use of switch only rather than normal boiler operation

Never use the switch unless emergency.
Plus very costly.
It is a back up only.

thanks for your quick reply mike--the problem i have is i have tenants in the property where the boilermate 2000 is installed who think it is going to be more cost effective to use switch for a couple of hours per day than run the system with the oil boiler and wish to at least try using it by the switch setting for 2 hours a day for a while

You may find if used too often.
That overheating can occur.
And burn out may happen.
Would you drive a car with one of those temporary tyres on for days on end.
My advice is NOT to use only in emergency.
