pulsecoil 2000 - tank empty Empty pulsecoil 2000 - tank empty

Post  soozie Fri Jan 25, 2013 1:00 pm

I have just bought a flat and it has this hot water system in. After doing some research I discovered that the expansion tank on the top is empty. I spent a long time today filling the tank (with a large jug) and I was curious as to why the tank would be totally empty. It still isnt full, the water sounds like its entering the system and I cannot see any sign of leaking.

The flat has been empty for about a year and when I moved in the main water supply had been turned off but I cant see how this would impact the tank level?

Any ideas? Should I continue to keep filling the tank?

Thanks in advance
Sue

well also as you, the privies owner, did not know about toping the tank up, for years, water evaporates away and you found out now.
top the tank up until is half way up in the ( gray or black) top tank. there is also a great chance, one or both immersion have burned out, and / or your pump is sees up. have a look at those topics on this forum

pulsecoil 2000 - tank empty Empty Usually drained down

Hi,

Usually if it is a repossessed property, the system will be drained down for safety and the main supply isolated.
