PulsaCoil III - After topping up water tank, no green light, no heat
Hi, I have gone through all the various posts and read through the manual but have failed to get my PulsaCoil III boiler working. It was working yesterday evening after we have been away for a week on holiday. However, by the end of the evening the lights on the boiler had gone off and there was no hot water. I tried topping up the upper water tank but the green lights have not turned on yet and I tried turning the switches off/on and even tried the booster switch. Nothing is working. When we turn on a hot water tap the boiler is making noises like it should be doing something however there is no hot water coming out. We have always had issues with the hot water being sporadic (would only last for 1 shower) in spite of calling people out to look at it several times. Any suggestions or tips would be gratefully appreciated! Thank you.

This could be one of those rear thing like the water level switch in your top tank is faulty, this also stops the Pulsacoil to heat up. but first check the level in your top tank, if the water is about half way up.
I hope this helps

Hi Mario - I just checked and the upper tank is halfway full. The green lights are back on now, however there is still no hot water. Not sure what else to do as have already flicked the on/off switches. Any ideas? Thank you again for your response!

There will be no hot water till tomorrow morning, remember the Pulsacoil is a night storage water heater !! and if the led's just come on, you have to wait till tomorrow.
If no hot water tomorrow morning, green led's are on, touch the pipe coming out of the main boiler before going to the Exchanger ( the big silver one with the 4 connected pipes to it) on the boiler if there are hot, if not, your Immersion heater in the bottom of the tank is faulty ( or there is no electricity going to it ( timer fauty ?), if hot, your Pump is faulty, pcb or sensors ( hard to point if I am not testing it in person)
regards Mario

If there is still no hot water tomorrow, you need to lock out for an competent engineer in your area, who is able to repair Gledhill boiler, most " ornery" Plumbers aren't. ( course I am "only" covering 50 miles or so, around Fareham / Hampshire, but lock at my website )If they say you need a new Boiler, send them off !!!

Check the overheat stat
Check the overheat stat has not popped out. If the tank is low in water level and the element switched on, it causes the overheat stat to pop out for safety reasons.
If that doesn't work, try the booster switch and leave that on for about 3 hours.
