Only hot water with boost - quote wanted - Watford area
Hi,
I have a problem with the PulsaCoil Class A boiler.
It has worked fine for the last 4 years that I have been in my flat.
The flat is 7 years old and the boiler has been there from the start.
Recently the timer stopped triggering the boiler to start heating in the normal way. I could tell it wasn’t working as the boiler was not using any electricity normally it would run a 3KW/H when heating.
The timer itself ticks round fine and there is still a clicking noise in the boiler when the time comes but no heating of water.
I can get the water to heat using the boost button (one wall switch must also be off).
I’ve read that the off-peak relays sometimes go. I have looked inside the from panel and cannot see any burnt out wires etc.
I live in Watford, anyone able to assist / quote for this job.
Regards Shaun

Could be your timer.
Could be a relay.
Could be a sensor
Could be the bottom heater.
You have got an off peak supply?
So you will need someone to check & test.
Unless they quote for everything.

In terms of the off peak supply, I don't have economy 7.
The timer normally just heats the water twice a day in the early morning and in the afternoon.
I realise I could probably save some money if I had an economy 7 meter fitted but have not done that as yet.
