When we first moved into house, the hot water supply was fab. Instant Hot water and great water pressure. However over the last few months the water pressure in the shower gas reduced, and the water is only hot if the tap is turned on ever so slightly. If I put the bath tap on at max flow then the water is only coming out luke warm. The same goes for the shower. Anybody know what could be causing this, and how to fix it? Thanks.

Yes, this is almost certainly a scale-contaminated heat exchanger.

Get a new one fitted and your Pulsacoil will be back to originla performance. Alternatively install a proper resin-bed water softener and performance will return gradually.

Hi Mike,
Thank you so much for your response.
We do have very hard water where we live, so that would make sense.
Would it be worth de-scaling the current coil, and then fitting a general water softening unit to the whole house?
Kind Regards
Amanda
