I have a Boilermate 2000 . I understand that it has an emergency hot water switch. Were is this located?

Hi jackson,
Some do, some don't. It was an optional extra.
Those that have emergency "Switch" electric backup have a small aluminium control knob to select "Switch" mode on the user control panel. If yours does not have this control knob then you do not have the emergency "Switch" backup.
