Systemate 2000 - Pump continually on.
The system is about 7 years old and works as it should. However, one of the pumps seems to be working 24/7 and produces a pulsating throbbing which is particularly noticeable at night. Surely, this shouldn't happen? Also from time to time the system 'rattles and rolls' like an old steam engine, but it quietens down after 15-20 minutes. Any ideas?

Gary,
Many thanks - have done that recently and I think it has stopped the 'steam engine' effect. However, still have the pulsating throbbing noise which has to be a pump, but it's on all the time!
Cheers.

Take the front cover off and look at the printed circuit board, press the sw2 button once and tell me the value.
Re: Systemate 2000 - Pump continually on.
If the store is only reaching a temperature of 55 then the unit will continually ask for heat from the boiler and the pump will continuously run.
You need to now find out if it is a fault with the boiler or the SysteMate, check the temperature with a thermometer at the top of the boiler (flow pipe) usually the right hand pipe and at the SysteMate centre pump.
Come back to me with your findings and we can go from there.

Hi again, I now have a thermometer. Both temps are at about 42C. Checked SW2 button again and that was reading 60.
