Is it normal for red light to flash after unit has reached max st temp?
My daughter has just moved into a flat fitted with a PulsaCoil A and we are getting to grips with the mysteries of its operations. She has Economy 7 and there are two switches peak and of peak - get all that.
She had a problem that the unit tripped out immediately the power came on at the start of off peak, or if she switched on during peak. A Gledhill engineer has been today and changed something like a 'relay switch'. He said leave both off peak and peak switches on as peak will only cut in if needed during the day. However at 7 pm tonight the red light on the front of the unit is flashing constantly. The display suggests that this means that the water has reached max temperature and safety switched off.
So - is that normal? When the water cools or is used, will the unit switch itself back on again and the red light stop flashing?

Hi
If the red light is flashing there is a fault.
Best to get the guy back.
Could be various reasons why it is flashing.

Thanks Mike. Interestingly (or not..) I went back to the flat and the red light has stopped flashing and there is abundant hot water!
